I was in doubt as to which size to order. I am pear-shaped and many jackets fit my upper body just fine but around the hips they sadly are too small.

I finally took my courage in hand and rang your customer service desk and spoke to a lovely lady who suggested that I order my usual size of 16 as there weren’t so many of them in stock. I advised her that I liked to wear a light jumper or fleece under my jackets as I suffer a lot from the cold and can be outside for many hours. She was amused and said I really wouldn’t need to wear anything extra as the coat was very well insulated. In the end I decided to err on the side of caution and ordered the size 18.

It arrived by Royal Mail this morning and I am pleased to say I love it. The sizing is perfect for me - especially with the toggles on the inside you can pull to give it a bit more shape. The 16 would have been fine but the 18 gives me just a little bit more wiggle room if you know what I mean.

The coat is heavy and I now understand that an extra jumper may not be needed. The material is a little stiff (mainly the collar) and so is the hefty zipper but I’m hoping that these will ease up after some use. I like the colour of the jacket very much - I do wildlife and landscape photography so it’s just perfect to blend in and the large pockets and the extra hand-warmer pockets will come in handy ( sorry for the pun…).

The lining is a lovely ‘golden’ colour and makes the jacket look very chic when I have it unzipped. It looks brilliant and the inside hidden pocket is a great addition for valuable things.

Of course I haven’t used it in the rain yet as we’re in the middle of a drought here in England and it’s 29 degrees C outside but I am confident it will be waterproof as described.

When all is said and done I think this is a good product and can highly recommend it if anyone is dithering about buying it like I was.

This field jacket is just right for a cold Winter walk. Its lovely and warm has plenty of pockets and manufactured to a high standard. My wife is very pleased with it.

I've been looking for a waterproof but stylish coat to wear when training my working dog. We are out in all weathers and comfort is all important! This jacket fits the bill. Other than the colour being described as Fern Green, when its a brown colour like the picture, I have no negative comments.

I needed a nice warm waterproof coat to go beating in and this fits the bill perfectly. It's stylish yet comfortably casual and has room for wearing extra layers underneath when the really cold weather sets in. I'm getting lots of appreciative comments when I'm wearing it too!

Just received my jacket and I am thrilled with the material, so soft and tactile. The lining is so pretty and the adjustable waist makes a super fit. Plenty of room for a fleece jumper ready for the very cold winter. This is the second field jacket I have bought from you and I am very pleased indeed.

Looks and feels really great, just waiting now for some cooler weather. I have never spent this amount on any clothes before but am very pleased I have treated myself to this. Thank you Fife Country.
