I received my jacket today and I am really pleased with it. It is windproof and waterproof and exactly what I need for dog walking along the South Wales coast. The jacket arrived promptly and the fit is perfect. I have bought many items from Hoggs and I have always been totally satisfied with the service and quality of the clothes and shoes I have purchased. Thoroughly recommended.

Ordered this and it arrived quickly and just in time before the freezing weather arrived. Ordered the Large but it was a shade too big so exchanged for a medium, perfect fit, very snug and warm with useful pockets. Pity the hood doesn't fold into the collar but a great value jacket nonetheless. Would wholeheartedy recommend, a quality item that will last me for years.

Over the past year or so I have ordered various items for my husband, including a padded coat, the Argyll Parka which has been a really good buy. It is so warm and weather proof, ideal for the colder weather. He has always suffered with poor circulation but feels as warm as toast in this coat.
If we have needed to return/ exchange items I have never had a problem- always straight forward.

This week I bought a weather proof quilt lined Parka jacket. It came today. It feels like you ought to go out in the cold.

Received after 2days by Royal Mail - amazing!! Good length sleeves (L) and very warm.

My experience of Fife Country has been marvellous. My order was dealt with professionally and friendly. The quality of the Argyle waterproof jacket is superb and my husband looks forward to wearing it when taking the dogs for walks.

I have had various things over the years from Fife Country, and they have never failed me. I recently bought an Argyll Parka from them, and as ever it is excellent. The parka is very well made, from top quality materials and appears destined to last. At the age of 80, I aim to live to be 100, if I succeed in doing so, I anticipate that the parka will still be going strong even when I am pushing up the daisies thereafter! Martin Hallam

Excellent quality and fit. But please alert customer that several magnets are in the garment, notably those on the upper left pocket. This is a potential danger to pacemaker/defib wearers.

Once again Fife have done it - an absolutely sturdy work Parker, well made with quilted lining and waterproof. Very suitable for outside work yet guaranteed comfort. Highly recommended !

I bought the Argyll Parka as a Christmas present for my husband who’d hinted he’d like one. He is very happy with with it-as described it’s waterproof & windproof & only needs a light T-shirt underneath, even it the bitter cold spell we’ve had. He says the only downside is that it feels rather heavy but overall an excellent jacket.

I was given one for Christmas and have since worn it in all weathers. It is superb. It is very warm even in this cold weather and completely waterproof and the length is better than many coats. I think it will only be winter coat because it is so warm but that is what I wanted.

Thank you for the navy Argyll Parka which arrived a few days ago. I like the length of the garment, as I suffer with a cold back. If it washes and wears the same as the several pairs of your moleskin trousers I have, (in assorted colours!), I can see this coat being the last one I will need! Your motto ought to be “Hoggs of Fife- Clothes for Life”. Although one can find cheaper garments elsewhere, none wear as well as those you supply- as in all things, one gets what one pays for. It may sound strange, but I am looking forward to some foul weather to try the parka out!!

Delighted with jacket. Thanks for friendly service and prompt delivery. Tested in wind and rain and fulfils all expectations. Good design and quality, like natural "cotton" appearance.

Feels good, looks good, very well finished and does what it says on the box. Comfortable and warm to wear and perfect for those bracing winter country walks. Sleeves could be an inch or two shorter but the cuff adjusters overcome any potential problems. My wife was so taken with the soft feel finish and go anywhere look that she ordered one for herself (in size small) and is very pleased with the result, even if the 'wrong side' poppers are taking a bit of getting used to!!

I received the Argyll jacket. This jacket was first class superb in every way. Will last for years, for walking and shooting.

When I first tried it on I was very impressed with the quality and feel of the Parka, and the detail is so perfect, from the two way heavy weight zip to the pull cords, the hood is cleverly designed having concealed press studs to make it totally waterproof, and three way cords to keep it tight to the face, and I am really pleased with the magnetic closures on the pockets, much better than press studs, the fit is very good too, gives enough room for a couple of layers if needed because the Parka is very warm, that said the under arm zips are an added bonus if you do get a tad warm, all in all a superb Parka, for me it's my best winter coat from now on.

Sizing and fit perfect. With the storm Eunice on our doorstep it will be well tried out on our hill farm!

I have just received my Argyll Parka. I am delighted with the quality and sizing of this garment. It is everything you describe it as. I have not tried it "in the Field" yet, but I'm sure it will be a reliable piece of kit for a long time to come.

This is a brilliant product for cold winter days and it fits perfectly. It does what it says in the brochure. The ordering process and actual delivery were very efficient, 4 days from start to end.

A brilliant Parka, I am really impressed at the quality. The size is perfect and I can confirm it is comfortable when worn. Its the first time I have come across magnetic fasteners on the internal pockets, I am equally extremely happy with the 2 way main zip. Just the job for these cold and wet winter days. Beautifully made, looks smart, extremely comfortable and is warm and waterproof - what is there not to like? With jackets like this I have tended to order one size up in the past, but this is not necessary with the Argyll. Fantastic assistance from the staff helping me change a large to a medium option.

I waited nearly a month for this parka to come back in stock. It was well worth the wait! A well designed and well made coat, with all little extra trimmings such as magnetic flaps for the pockets. I received it just in time for storms Arwen and Barra and it performed outstandingly. It is a bit too warm at times! Only gripe I have is that the warmer pockets are a tad too high, a minor point. Overall, highly recommended.

I have purchased a number of items from Fife over the years and have always been 'very' pleased with the both the quality of the product and service. However, this item is one of the best and hence the review. We have had some terrible downpours in South Wales recently, but this jacket has withstood everything and it is so warm, so would recommend it to anyone. Happy New Year to all the lovely staff and will be getting my wallet out in 2021. I bet that has cheered you great Scots up.

So far so good. I have had the Argyll Parka for about three weeks and have worn it every day. It's practical (the pocket options), toast warm even with only one base layer in the Bristol cold, easy to move in and keeps me dry. The fit is snug around the chest with loads of room across the back and shoulders for your arms to move freely without any pull on the parka. Delighted so far.
