Not many sizes left now ,think by next year you wont see these boots at all , made in Northampton England , there cousin same but with elastic gusset are on sale just now ,but more support around ankle with the lace up Rannoch,all other stockists in UK are sold out in most sizes ,customer services may give you code for free delivery and 10% of if you give them a call.

Thanks Fife Country for sending out my boots on the same day i made the order. Half Derby Half Hiker is how i would describe them. The look like they are made to last. Kilt Dress wear /,trousers casual /trousers dress / shorts as a hiker /or out on grouse,pheasant,clay pigeon shoot, so describe them as an allrounder ,early days for my boots,gave them a light coating of Flexalan Leather dressing before first wear ,you can tell that its good leather the way the oil absorbs into the leather fairly quick.

Never bought boots from Fife Country ,bought from country clothing store in England but left a review here , those boots are well made .I am a gamekeeper ,Northwest Scotland . After wearing the boots for first few days i am pretty impressed with support the give me on the hills , the full leather lining is sheer classic comfort , i will post another review in a few months thanks Hoggs Of Fife for being main Stockist and supplier.

If you are like me and in your 70's, this may be the last pair of boots, like this you may ever need. I am not a serious hill walker just casual stroll so it looks like they are going to last me a very long time.

Fit true to size been wearing mine with shorts ,so casual ,sporting , or smart wear . Folk asking me where i got my boots ,i tell them Hoggs at Strathmiglo , shame really some folk have never been there , . I am 69 and i am looking for 15 yrs out these boots. The minister at my Church fancies them,i told him where to get them.

The Boots will last me until my demise! They look excellent quality and I don’t wear boots that often but very useful to have.

Cheanny have the pennine boot which is similar for £499 ,just to give you an idea of what is out there and have heard that cheanny are the makers of the Hoggs Rannoch boots ,somehow i feel this boot is going to be discontinued . There is an offer in Hoggs new brochure , Free Postage and 10% off orders over £100 . This boot at present is a wise buy good luck folks.

I had a pair of these boots before and lasted me 12 yrs ,i never got them resoled because after a few years keeping them for casual wear i ended up wearing them to work on the farm, they went through some hard use . They were worn on days when i should have had wellingtons on so the took there toll , to put a long story short ,i ruined them when i should have been giving them a bit of tender loving care every few months ,they never seen dubbin or wax very often as i just didnt have the time with busy with work. So i have purchased a new pair now and will look after these ones . The price is steep even in the sale but they are going to last you a very long time with proper care.

I am up Thurso, and none shops sell these boots, so ordered online arrived 3 days after order. Good sturdy boots with good grip on soles and supple leather uppers. Thanks Fife Country for my boots.

These boots should see me out due to the structure and best items used in the making. I just love the . UK made for true country folk. You won't be let down with your purchase.

Size 7 fit me true to size ,i have 2 weddings to attend this year ,i will wear these boots with my kilt . Tried boot on with kilt last night and match up well , after that they will be worn on my golf competitions when weathers poor.

Boots made to fit your foot and ankle. Fit true to size. Why it has took me so long to buy a pair of these boots kills me, but finally have a pair from sale at present. I think i wasn't wanting to spoil myself before all those years back but enjoying being a pensioner now . If Hoggs discontinue this boot ,as they have done with Veldtschoen shoes in the last 2 yrs they would never hear the end of it from old customers that has been with them for 50 yrs or more. The boot just oozes with quality, customer service are still 100% Thankyou

Nice leather i believe these boots will mould to the shape of your ankle and foot. I read a lot of the reviews from various different places that sell these boots saying they were a generous fit so i went down 1/2 a size ( MISTAKE ) had to return them for my normal size, and all is good now. I have gave then a light coating of leather oil and wearing them in the house at present. One thing for sure i wont be sending them back. I will post another review in a few months after been wearing them out and about.

I have had these boots for a couple of months now and have been tremendously impressed - the quality and robustness of construction, the comfort, the look, and of course, the price. I don't worry about the weather (I live in Canada), the salt or the cold. They are easy to care for and keep looking great.

Just got these boots - perfect Hoggs fit (as usual) - half sizes, wide fitting - what more could a chap ask for - highly recommended.

This summer I had two weeks walking in the Austrian Alps where I wore these boots for up to 12 hrs a day. I find that they are much more comfortable than my usual padded heavy mountain boots. They give me the same ankle support and a similar grip, even when scrambling. A quick wash and they are ready to wear to the restaurant in the evening. In fact they were the only footwear that I took with me.

This is my second pair - first pair has lasted 25 years, absolutely wonderful for shooting and normal hill stalking. Very comfortable, light and well made. Much easier to use than the heavily padded continental boots and just as comfortable around the ankle.Service from the company has always been excellent. My only complaint is that they no longer repair these boots themselves.

By the way, (do read my review on the Veldtschoen Boots on 9th June, '14) and thought that perhaps you would like to know that the ROXBURGH Shoes are exactly the same fitting! Another point, since they are made using Leather which is specially tanned, and also Leather lined, the temperature/ humidity ballance is maintained in both hot and cool weather, in fact all weathers, and that is of course British weather, sometimes in the space of one day!

Like other reviewers I had been meaning to buy a pair of these boots for some time and wish I had bought them sooner. I have only had them for a few months but they are extremely well made and are the most comfortable boots I have worn. I highly recommend them. Don't wait, get a pair now!

In my experience the customer service provided by this company is second to none. I bought a pair of Rannoch Boots in April 2014. rnThey are excellent boots. However one of the shoes had a defect resulting in a serious water leak. The fault didn’t show up until wet weather encountered in early August 2014. One phone call and two days later a new pair arrived. Also provided was paid postage collection and return details and label. That’s how to look after customers.

Having contemplated a pair of these boots for, in fact, some years, I decided one just had to try them out. One requirement was that I needed to have something to help me walk properly again. When I first put them on my first thought? Well, it was 'what took me so long'! These are the very best Boots I have ever had, they are perfect for absolutely anything one might get up to in any weather conditions, rain or shine! I do love 'clothes you can live in', and these are part of that kind of wardrobe. They are so well made, top quality leather, excellent finish. Perfect for both Country life and pursuits, and well, all the time actually.But you ought to have two pairs really, so as you can 'rest' them occasionally !

I have tested these boots on both the moors of Scotland and the restaurants of Chelsea! Versatile and brilliant.

A really comfortable boot. My pair came with leather soles and when they wore down, Hoggs replaced them with commando soles. A boot you can wear all day whether for active or leisure wear.
