Bought for a 350km walk across southern France. Comfortable, lightweight, and well structured offering good support and grip, as a medium duty walking boot they worked better than expected, successfully replacing a quality brand costing 3 x the price. The insoles are less good, offering little cushioning and quickly wearing away at the heal causing blisters; after a temporary repair using tape, better quality insoles were were fitted to eradicate this issue. Also, they are not waterproof in the true sense though, to be fair, few boots of this type are, and walking through wet vegetation fairly quickly results in dampness penetrating the upper. These boots have now walked approximately 460Kms, with little significant wear to the sole and, unlike other users, I am still on my original laces which have not been worn away by the eyelets. Overall a very good boot at this price point, even for the serious hiker, but could do with a better quality insole.

Ordered this due to failure of different brand. Arrived within 2 days, fit is correct for size (size 10) and feels really comfortable to wear. I particularly like the laces and eyelets which run smoothly which is important for getting them off! Well done.

The original order had the wrong item packed. I contacted Fife Country and spoke to Yvonne. She explained that the correct item would be sent out and apologized. I had not realised that the correct item would not be posted out until they had received my return item. I spoke to Yvonne again who apologized for not making the procedure clear. I do understand why they need the wrong item back first. The correct item arrived today and they are just perfect. Yvonne also kept me updated by email. Thanks Yvonne! Error made but Fife looked after me!

Bought half size larger to give room for thick socks and inner sole for high arch. Extremely comfortable and warm lovely boots and so far haven’t slipped in the mud good soles.

I got the wrong size to start with but the exchange service was quick and efficient. These boots are very comfortable and I didn't have to wear them in at all. My only slight quibble is that there are no care instructions with the boots and neither is there anything on the website. I had to ring and ask for the care information which was given by a very pleasant lady.

It seems that I am always buying new hiking boots every few months. Until now that is. These Nevis Waterproof Hikers are the best. They are wide enough for my feet as well as really comfortable. My feet have been warm and dry throughout and they still look as good as new after many month of ware. I usually start to see ware on the soles after a month or so, but not with these boots, they still show no signs of ware on the soles at all. Also the grip on icey and slippery surfaces is phenomenal. I feel confident going anywhere at any time. I would thoroughly recommend this foot ware for all conditions.

These are the most comfortable walking boots I have ever worn - lightweight, waterproof and very, very comfortable. Would definitely recommend .

Chose these as a replacement to another type of boots from Fife Country which leaked. Comfortable for dog walking. However, while walking on wet grass in the park,the canvass across foot does get damp. Full leather boots would be better.

I'm sorry to say these boots really don't suit me. They look good, smart and strong, and appeared to be almost exactly the same size as my well worn Berghaus boots. They felt comfortable when worn for a while around the house. I then tried a 2 mile walk and they seemed quite comfortable, but when I took them off I saw that both big toes were bruised. I don't know why - must be something in the shape of the toe end of the boots.

I ordered pair of these on tuesday and they arrived at 9.30.am thursday,what service ! One is always worried about ordering footwear by post as comfortable boots and shoes are the difference between pleasure and misery on a long walk.There are similar looking boots available elsewhere and I have hanfled them only to be disappointed by their flimsiness.These Lomond boots however are as robust and substantial as leather ones with lightness and comfort built in.Beautifully finished with a grippy sole at at a terrific price I expect these to serve me well for a long time.

Very satisfied with the quality and fitting of the boots. Only downside to date is that they should come with spare laces as having only had on for short periods the laces are about a goner. I noticed others having the same problem with the laces being damaged with the eyelets. Would have been 5 star if not the problem with the laces.

To date I have not had much joy with textile boots having tried three well known makes all of which leaked after a few months. I give them a monthly spray and so far these boots seem to be OK. They were comfortable from the start although the ankle cuff is quite stiff and took a bit of breaking in. My main negative which has been described by another reviewer is that the top outer eyelet on both boots has shredded the laces in less than two months. At £4 a pair for replacements this could prove to be expensive over the life of the boots. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars for robustness, comfort and value.

I ordered, by phone, a pair of Lomond Hiker Boots last Sunday at 16.55 hours, my call was processed by Margaret, who was very polite and helpful. Greatly to my surprise they arrived here yesterday (Wednesday)....what service...and they are just what I wanted, AND they fit! I saw them advertised in the Countryfile magazine, which is a brilliant magazine. I seldom buy boots or shoes unseen, and am pleasantly surprised that this purchase has worked out so well, thank you.

Boots ordered on Tuesday, delivered on Thursday, worn at work on Friday and out in the Lake District Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

I posted my order for a pair of Lomond Hiker boots on Tuesday, 1 May, and was very pleasantly surprised to receive them on Friday, 4 May. The speed of service was excellent. I am also very pleased with the boots; I've only worn them for a short (approx. 2 miles) walk on fairly flat ground but they seem to be very comfortable (my feet are very hard to please!). I have one quibble - the tongue seems quite bulky and makes it awkward to manipulate the gussets so they lie properly. But time will probably sort that out!

Just to let you know my new Lomond hiker shoes have arrived this morning. They are perfect for my needs, fit is comfortable and the price offered was excellent.

I have had these boots for two months now and have found them to be as comfortable and waterproof as my previous boots which cost more than twice the price. The only problem is that the eyelets for the laces are sharp enough to have cut through the laces supplied and another pair that i transferred from my old boots. Hence,only three stars.

The hikers are a great product, great price with the discount voucher I had, they arrived promptly, are very comfortable and will get a thorough try out in the Derwent Valley on 24/3/18. All round very good indeed. Thank you Fife Country.

Fit is good, colour is good, seem very sturdy for quite lightweight footwear. I will look forward to wearing them regularly.

Very comfortable around the house but still to be put to test on DoE expedition! Feels strong with good ankle support
