This really is a quality piece of kit. Maybe a bit of overkill for South Hampshire, but we still have January and February to get through. The coat is windproof, really warm and very definitely waterproof. I particularly like the internal elasticated cuffs. The external lower pockets are a very good size and ideal for carrying things such as treats when walking the dogs and there are many other pockets. The hood is structured so that it doesn't flop down over your face; I've had several jackets where it has been necessary to wear a peaked cap underneath the hood to prevent that happening. The jacket is a very good length, stretching over the thighs, keeping the lower back warm. Be aware that the jacket is substantial and definitely not lightweight.
