Five years on and still superb, the sturdiest pair of shoes I own, and I have plenty.

What more could a chap ask for; wide fitting and half sizes. No need to break- in, comfortable from the first try on. Highly recommended, heavy brogues.

These are fabulous shoes. I am considering a purchase but can't really persuade myself to do so, as the ones on my feet, which have been worn to work every single day for five years are still in great condition.They're on their third soles & heels but the uppers & inside are as good as when I got them, just more highly polished! I suppose some day they'll wear out but not yet. You get what you pay for in life & these look good, are so comfy & are very good value for money.

Superior craftsmanship as you would expect for the price - shows very little wear after five years. Can be resoled. I find them ideal for rural general practice as they look smart in the surgery but are very water resistant and grippy when out on emergency visits. Nurses have complimented me on them.They may be expensive but they last so well I think it is more economical to buy really good shoes like these once, rather than keep replacing cheap shoes. Hoggs' customer service, as usual, was first class. Highly recommended.

I have bought these shoes for year now.........too many to recount. This shoe is absolutely superbly made and very comfortable indeed. Robust and hardwearing yet stylishly country styled. Fantastic shoe and well worth every penny.

First rate springs to mind from the moment of ordering a pair of Glengarry Brogues on a Monday morning, receiving them two mornings later as to the quality and fit first class, very comfortable, looking forward to wearing them when the bad weather arrives.
