Reviews for Bushwhacker Unlined Stretch Trousers

I have been looking for some lighter weight trousers to give some rain protection on showery Spring/Summer days. Having read previous reviews I thought I hade found what I was looking for but, unfortunately, on the first day of wearing them on a showery day the rain got through and I had wet legs from my thighs to ankles. On a positive note they did dry out quite quickly. They will be fine on a heavy mist day or a very infrequent rainy day. I do have two pairs of Fife Country's Winter grade trousers which are excellent and highly recommended but, regrettably, my search continues for a Spring/Summer pair.

Editors note: These are not advertised as waterproof trousers, they are made from quick-dry fabric which is rain resistant.

These are smart, well made, generous fitting and comfortable. I already have a pair in navy which are really resilient to rain, soiling and stand up well to wear. This new pair is of the same quality and I am delighted.

I bought two pairs of these trousers and have now worn them enough to be able to offer a proper review. Firstly, they are very well made - the fabric feels (and has proved to be) tough and the stitching is strong. Sizing I found to be generous but a good practical fit. The seven belt loops (rather than the usual five) shows attention to detail. I find them really windproof and recently, having mis-judged the weather and left my waterproofs in the car, experienced them when the heavens opened. They were saturated but to my surprise despite this they weren't as cold and unpleasant to wear as I'd expected and did a decent job of starting to dry out on my short drive home: I wouldn't be worried about getting caught in an occasional shower wearing these as I would if wearing denim, for example. I would say these trousers are excellent value for money - other trousers I've bought in this price range have usually disappointed whereas trousers I've bought from a well known outdoor clothing retailer have met my expectations but at around three times the price of these. I'll be buying more of these in the future.

Only ordered these trousers on 30th October and have received them already, 2nd November. Excellent service, thank you. They are well made, strong sturdy fabric, true to size (if anything leg length is on the generous side). Good value for money.

Having purchased Bushwhacker lined winter trousers and found them to be excellent, i have now purchased the unlined and find them to be a good weight and fit. Service by post was efficient as ever.

I have just bought my second pair of these trousers as they are so comfortable and excellent value. Recently caught in a very heavy downpour and these trousers remained waterproof and dried out very rapidly.

It's early days but so far I have a very favourable impression of these trousers. I was concerned "in a modern but generous fit.." might mean they would be too baggy in the smaller waist sizes but in fact they are about right for a summer trouser where you don't want them too tight fitting on the legs. Sizing seems accurate provided they don't noticeably shrink in the wash. Customer services were very helpful when I called to ask about sizing - a real person not a chatbot!!. Overall I expect these to be just what I need for walking the dogs, working in the garden etc. and at the moment they are even smart enough to go shopping in.
