These trousers appealed as they included a variable leg length whilst the Culloden waterproof trousers that I had also recently purchased only had one length, which was slightly too long for me, but could be managed for my use. The material is comfortable, they are extremely waterproof and durable having tried them out in some quite extreme cold wet weather. I have not given them 5 stars as the waist securing button above the fly is not that secure. It includes a clip, which looks as if it might not last plus a push button that appears not to secure, but so far has held so long as I wear a good quality belt. There is also a hook at the bottom of each trouser leg for securing the trouser leg to the boot lace. This appears a good idea but often works as a hindrance when putting on and taking off the trouser legs. As I wear gaiters usually over the boots this clip is not required. However, these are all fairly minor points and they are very good trousers for wear in the country. I would recommend that in future they are given the same waist securing buttons that are on the Culloden trousers, which are much more secure.
